Interview Practice
One thing I noticed when watching this back was that when I was talking my voice sounded shaky and I stuttered a lot so what I have to work on are my speaking skills. The reason for this being a draw back is that docent express confidence to the interviewer. What I also noticed was that when I was mentioning my points I didn't emphasise what the point of the story was, which doesn't answer the question fully. When I was answering these questions I wasn't mention any soft skills that I had which would have aided my points.

Interview techniques
This is the product that was made out for our production, for this shoot we only had a the shot list for to go by, so what we had to do was find the location for the shoot.so we began by lighting the room we found. my job was to frame the cameras and setup the audio while Oscar lights it. we then got an actor and pulled them in for the shoot.
Showreel
When Planning to make my show reel i was looking at existing show reel's to find out different editing styles of show reel. For my show reel i wanted to make a fast paced edit as when looking at different types of edits i found these the most entertaining so what i began doing for my showreel was collect all the footage. I then found the song i wanted to use which was "Dances-Rat", this song worked for me since it was a high energy song and the duration wasn't too long so i wouldn't be forced to stretch the shots to fit the song. Now i had all the footage and the song i created the timeline for the project, while i was looking at the footage i organised the footage into bins since the media browser would be too cluttered. This can be seen below:This gave the showreel structure as i organised them into sections, those being College, River Trust and Worldskills UK. I began to cut the footage into little compilations for each of the sections so i could find what footage would for example, with Music Video i had a separate timeline where i compiled all the footage as seen below:
Once i had accomplished this i then moved on to making the graphic for the bottom left of the video, this is going be used to show the type of project, my name and my role which for all of mine is camera operator since that is position i am wanting to go into in the future. For this i was going to make the graphic in Photoshop and then place the .psd in the timeline so i can edit the image and it will automatically update on premier pro.
I then began cutting the footage to have a particular style, this style was going to be a fast paced style as i want to make my footage look exciting and interesting to watch. The problem i found with this was that the footage i had selected was a lot of slower shots that focus too heavily on detail so what i decided to do was add motion in post to the shots. This made the shots look more lively to fit with the song.
What is seen below is the latest version of my showreel and the reason i said "latest" was because i am constantly working on trying to make my showreel more and more impressive until i am happy with it from start to finish. I am also going to be working on projects in the future that will be added
When working on my showreel i was worried as i wasn't confident in my older work. When i started working on it though i wasn't as worried as i saw how much footage i had from all the projects i have worked on. What i think i struggled with the most was cutting to the beat of the song and it wasn't because i didn't understand how to do it but my footage was far too slow for the song. In order to combat this i decided to use the effects panel to transform the footage to make it move in different directions to add movement to the piece to make it flow better. What i am going to do moving forward is to keep on improving the flow of the showreel as i feel it still needs adjusting and so do the effects but this is a good beginning for how to make a showreel and what is need in order to make it interesting.
