IDEAS

5 Year Plan 

During the first year i am wanting to try and secure a apprenticeship in the industry with any of the leading production companies but ideally the BBC. This will give me ample time to grow my skill set and give me essential industry experience so i can then begin to work else where after the apprenticeship ends. During the second year i am wanting to work for a production company that works on television shows as this is the closest thing to working in cinema which is my end goal for my five year plan. Working in cinema is a hard field to work in because of the skill needed to participate in this part of the industry.

SWOT


SMART

Specific measurable attainable relevant timely

Colour Correction/Grading
Experimenting with colour grading and correction in five different lighting scenario,  review will be at the beginning of February. Research into the lighting scenarios on youtube and academic journal. In order to improve my colour correction and grading skills I am going to be taking 5 different types of video in order.

VFX
I am going to make 5 different VFX products on aftereffects, the five products be focused on trying to make my typography and VFX look more natural and professional for the future pieces I create. This will be finished by mid January

Research
I am going to look at more research techniques and improve the quality of data I collect when looking at information, the way I am going to improve this skill is by looking at film theory and trying to apply that to a peice that I have previously created or have made trying to complete another target. I am hoping this target will be completed by the begging of February.

Paperwork
I am wanting to improve my paperwork skills as I have been using it incorrectly in the past for example creating paperwork after completing the shoot. What I am wanting to do to improve this skills is when working on any practicle peice for any of the other targets I am going to create a full set of paperwork for that peice and assess the peice by the paperwork provided before. One area I am wanting to focus on while working on this target is my script writing as I don’t feel confident in this field. I am wanting to complete this target by the end of January.

expanding camera techniques
Since I mainly work as a camera operator I am wanting to work on some skills that I can use for making the quality of footage I am getting better, the way I am going to do this is by researching various techniques to improve my skills in this area, for example some techniques I am wanting to improve are handheld and lens wacking.

Tony Lecture

this allows the separate audio frequencies to be more prominent among the other sound in the audio piece. When i was working on this window i was trying to create  a wave with the adjusters as audio works in waves this allows the audio to remain level and not have any frequencies that aren't balanced. This window allows the user to altre the frequencies adjusting the allowing the sound to alter depending on the wave form. This is teh audio clip i have been working on and i have been altering this to sound mroe clear and sound the same as the other audio in the track.
